About the Workshop
Many clients understand their attachment patterns intellectually, yet still find themselves repeating the same anxiety, avoidance, shutdown, or relational patterns. This experiential workshop introduces therapists to a trauma-informed, somatic framework for helping clients move beyond insight and begin developing earned secure attachment as an embodied experience. Participants will explore how developmental trauma can result in unmet needs, nervous-system patterns, and relational experiences that contribute to insecure attachment and learn practical body-based tools for supporting regulation, integration, and a stronger internal sense of security. Through guided experiential practices, therapists will learn tools they can begin integrating into clinical work while also experiencing how somatic approaches can support their own capacity and presence with clients.
Learning Objectives
- Explain to clients the three elements of creating Earned Secure Attachment
- Describe how somatic approaches support clients in building earned secure attachment
- Implement 3 somatic tools in sessions with their clients to promote earned secure attachment
