DESCRIPTION:Philadelphia Area Group Psychotherapy Society (PAGPS) \nPAGPS Winter/Spring In-Person Workshop \nFebruary 3\, 2024\, 9:00AM – 12:30PM Eastern Time \n1515 Market St\, Philadelphia\, PA  19102 \nTrauma-Informed Sociometry and Psychodrama within Group Psychotherapy \n3 CE credits for Psychologists\, Social Workers\, Marriage & Family Therapists\, & Professional Counselors \nThis experiential workshop presents an introduction to sociometry and psychodrama as trauma-informed group therapy approaches. Multiple action-based sociometry processes will be demonstrated\, followed by a strengths-based psychodrama. Risks of retraumatization in psychodrama and group therapy will be addressed while emphasizing SAMHSA’s guidance for trauma-informed care. The basics of psychodrama history\, theory\, philosophy\, and research will be outlined. This training workshop will introduce an overview of theory\, the model and basic principles of IFS and demonstrate them with both experiential exercises as well as didactic learning. For those with little or no knowledge of IFS\, as well as those with basic knowledge\, all will benefit from the experiential nature of this workshop. This workshop will be applicable for therapists working with clients in a wide variety of settings.
