Providence Road Media\, PA 19063 \n  \nAbout the Workshop: \nThis workshop focuses on the use of sociometry and psychodrama techniques to cultivate hope and resilience in the aftermath of trauma\, loss\, or adversity. The importance of instilling hope and honoring the resilience of our clients will be discussed while exploring the restorative power of groups and community. The role of resilience in trauma recovery will be examined while demonstrating the practice of strengths-based psychodrama to promote growth and healing. Multiple action-based group techniques from sociometry and psychodrama will be demonstrated including various sociometry processes\, concretization\, doubling\, and role reversal. \nLearning Objectives: \n1). Identify the importance of strengths-based roles in trauma-focused psychodrama2). Describe one sociometry process \n3). The experiential learning structures include demonstrations of psychodrama and other experiential processes which often include (optional) personal disclosures from participants. While personal growth is often a byproduct of experiential learning in psychodrama\, the primary purpose of this workshop is training.
