SUMMARY:A Trauma-Informed Approach to Religious and Spiritual Integration in Therapy
DESCRIPTION:Date & Time: May 19\, 2023\, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM (EST) \n3 CE Hours for PA social workers\, counselors\, MFTs\, psychologists\, and NBCC Hours \nCost: $65 for professionals | $45 for students (*write to us if cost is your only barrier) \nOnline Event \nPresented by: Lewis Johnson\, M.S.\, NCC\, CTP\, CET I \nAbout the workshop: Religion and spirituality (R/S) may be paramount in a client’s life and be the catalyst for positive change behavior\, but it can often be difficult and uncomfortable for a therapist to broach the topic with clients without the proper knowledge and skills on how to integrate it effectively and safely. When exploring these subjects with clients\, knowledge about the trauma-informed principles and conducting religious/spiritual assessments is key. The experiential learning structures include sociometry\, demonstrations of a sociodrama\, and other experiential processes which often include (optional) personal disclosures from participants.
