About the Workshop:
This workshop is designed for professionals and psychodrama trainees interested in training focused on psychodramas in individual sessions to support trauma and addiction recovery. The session will provide all participants with practice experience facilitating 1-1 psychodrama sessions. Didactic content will be presented on the history, theory, and practice of 1-1 psychodrama including its strengths and limitations. Multiple approaches and interventions in 1-1 psychodrama will be offered including use of the empty chair, concretization, doubling, role reversal, the mirror, and soliloquy.
1). Identify one strength of 1-1 psychodrama compared to group psychodrama
3). Explain methods for establishing safety in 1-1 psychodrama
