About the Webinar:
Religious trauma can deeply impact a person’s sense of self, safety, and belonging. For many, faith communities offer connection and meaning—but for others, they become sources of fear, shame, and spiritual wounding. Whether stemming from rigid doctrine, abuse by religious authority figures, excommunication, or spiritual manipulation, religious trauma often goes unrecognized or misunderstood—by both clinicians and communities.
Join us as we explore the concept of religious trauma through a trauma-informed lens. Together, we’ll explore the signs and symptoms of religious trauma, its unique impact on identity and mental health, and practical strategies for promoting recovery and healing.
