About the Webinar:
Reiki is defined as universal life force energy and has been practiced for hundreds of years. Whether you currently engage in energy work, are curious about how this may benefit your practice, or want to learn more before recommending it to clients, we invite you to join us as we explore Reiki and how it can be used as an adjunct to psychotherapy. Many times, in our practice we encounter clients who are stuck, continue to struggle with destructive behavior patterns and unhelpful core beliefs. As practitioners, we are always looking for new, effective ways to support our clients. This webinar will provide an overview of what Reiki is (and is not), its history, and how it can serve as a restorative pathway to healing. Because it is believed Reiki transcends time and space, it can even be utilized successfully in telehealth sessions! In addition, guidance on finding the right Reiki training for you will be outlined.
Learning Objectives
1. Recognize the risks and benefits of incorporating Reiki into your therapy sessions.
2. Understand the intersection of Reiki with trauma informed care, and its utilization alongside evidence-based modalities such as EMDR and Somatic Therapy.
3. Define ways you can introduce and utilize Reiki in therapeutic practice.
