In this workshop we will discuss the balance between the maintenance of safety and containment and the rigor of thorough assessment of suicidal ideation. This workshop will have both experiential and didactic features, discussing risk factor analysis as well as countertransference in the suicide assessment.
Learning Objectives:
Identify one difference between suicidal ideation and intent
Identify one cognitive distortion commonly associated with suicidal ideation
Identify one trauma-related risk factor of suicidal ideation
